Public concern regarding electricity token discounts for 2026 has been addressed by PLN's official statement. The state electricity company confirmed there will be no discount programs for prepaid customers in the upcoming year.

This decision aims to safeguard the purchasing power of the community and maintain national economic stability. PLN has also detailed the electricity token rates that will take effect starting in 2026.
Tarif Dasar Listrik untuk Rumah Tangga
PLN has established varied rates for residential electricity based on the electrical capacity used. For the R-1/TR group with 450 VA, the applicable rate is Rp415 per kWh, while customers using 900 VA will be charged Rp605 per kWh.
Customers with higher consumption needs, such as R-1/TR 900 VA and 1,300 VA, face respective rates of Rp1.352 and Rp1.444,70 per kWh. If usage reaches 2.200 VA, the same rate of Rp1.444,70 per kWh will apply.
For the R-2/TR group with power ranging from 3.500 to 5.500 VA, the charge is Rp1.699,53 per kWh, reflecting government policies regulating electricity usage to support community purchasing power.

Tarif untuk Keperluan Bisnis dan Industri
PLN has also set specific electricity rates for business and industrial needs. For the B-2/TR group with capacities ranging from 6.600 VA to 200 kVA, the applicable rate is Rp1.444,70 per kWh.
The B-3/TM group with a capacity above 200 kVA enjoys a lower rate of Rp1.114,74 per kWh. This regulation aims to stimulate growth in Indonesia's business sector.
In addition, the I-3/TM group for industries with capacities exceeding 200 kVA is also charged Rp1.114,74 per kWh, while the I-4/TT group with more than 30,000 kVA benefits from an even lower rate of Rp996,74 per kWh.
Tarif untuk Fasilitas Pemerintah dan Pelayanan Sosial
The rates for government facilities and street lighting vary based on the user category. The P-1/TR group, with 6.600 VA to 200 kVA, is charged Rp1.699,53 per kWh.
The P-2/TM group, which operates at medium voltage above 200 kVA, incurs a cost of Rp1.522,88 per kWh. Additionally, the P-3/TR category designated for street lighting adheres to the same charge of Rp1.699,53 per kWh.
PLN also offers special rates for social services, with the lowest rates set for the S-1/TR group. For instance, customers with 450 VA are charged Rp325 per kWh, while those with 900 VA will pay Rp455 per kWh.
